Utah High School Hockey – Annual Awards - Deadline Jan 15

Utah High School Hockey (UHSH) presents several awards annually.  Awards include the Tim Hixson Memorial Scholarship, Jeffrey Glass Robinson League MVP,  Art Teece Young Lady MVP, Gary Jones Memorial Coach of the year, Dave Brown Volunteer of the year, Defensive Player of the Year, and Goaltender of the Year, Emmalynn Herbstritt Memorial Award and Scholarship.   Below is a list of awards and the nomination forms for these awards. The Academic All-Stars Nomination opens in the first academic term of the season.  The remaining awards open on or near January 1 of the season.

In addition, the UHSH Academic All-Stars are nominated by their team trustee and recognized before the annual UHSH All-Star game held at the end of the season.

Please note a new award this season. The Emmalynn Herbstritt Memorial Award and Scholarship for graduating seniors.  The details of which you all just voted on. We very much would like to see female hockey players have a greater presence in all the UHSH awards nominations and we hope that the late Emmalynn inspires you to consider nominating your female players for more awards this season.

The Tim Hixson Memorial Award & Scholarship also has a monetary award. Please inform your seniors of these two player scholarships.
