Independent Team Boundaries (effective since May 13th, 2025)
If the players' high school does not have an affiliated hockey program,
they will be assigned to an independent team.
To determine the assigned independent team, locate the public, private, or charter school the player attends. The school, public or charter, located in the color coded area will indicate the team a player is assigned to.
If a player attends online or home school, their home address will determine which public high school boundary they reside in thus indicating the corresponding team in the color coded area.
An exception would be if a player has received a school variance and is attending a school outside of their home address boundary, in which case, they would be assigned to the corresponding independent team of the school that they currently attend.
